E/E ENGINEERS CHINA

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Requirements management in RV&S (e.g. requirements, change management)
  • Management and coordination of the interface with customers, development partners and internally RAPA
  • Experience in embedded software development in the automotive environment
  • Experience in model-based software development using Matlab Simulink™, Stateflow™ etc.
  • Project management for electronic control units (project planning, schedule and progress tracking, capacity and budget planning)
  • Knowledge of software and hardware development processes (e.g. ASPICE)
  • Knowledge in functional safety
  • Experience with Vector AUTOSAR™
  • Experience with network protocols in the automotive environment (e.g. CAN, UDS, XCP)
  • Good programming skills in C

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering (mechatronics, electrical engineering), German university background preferred
  • “Team player” with good communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Sales Coordinator (m/f/o)

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Job holder is responsible for according to all environmental and work protective regulatory as well as all relevant governmental rules for his/her working area
  • Support of Intercompany Trade process at RAPA Automotive, especially in direction to central organization in Germany for all assembly relevant components within the LP
  • Central coordination and contact person for Automotive Key Account Management with focus on, but not limited to, US-based customers for the local support of projects installed in the LP organization (for commercial topics)
  • Support and consulting of Sales process within the LP organization according to the central process description and remote function (COP02), especially in the acquisition and ramp-up phase of automotive projects.
  • Support for quotation related documentation and content, which are mainly authorized and in responsibility of the US Key Account Manager, using IT-based tools.
  • Interface to the German functions (Experts for offering process) for projects with LP content for US-based customer (OEM / Tier1), who intend to get North American based production
  • Self-controlled follow-up of development and tooling revenues according to customer contracts, arrangement of ramp-up curves, scheduling plans and further essential project related information with the dedicated customer (according to arranged customer list in appendix)
  • Supporting the Key account Manager for customer related documents (Cost Break Down, supplier assessment, detailing of development costs and tooling effort etc.), internal follow-up for statements & documentation out of other departments according to customer specific requirements (according to arranged customer list in appendix)
  • Self-responsible compiling of sample- and pre-serial offer(s) based on internal calculation and in agreement with the relevant and responsible Key Account Manager
  • Coordination of product modifications, product changes and series production by helping to manage the change request process with necessary departments (according to arranged customer list in appendix)
  • Active participation in relevant AGILE project meetings to represent Sales.
  • Using ProAlpha (ERP) to analyze, enter and maintaining sales-related data.

Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Three to four-year degree in business, marketing, financial area, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three years automotive industry, or related experience preferred.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office applications with very good knowledge of Excel in particular
  • Ideally, some experience with ERP systems (i.e. ProAlpha).
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to travel locally and internationally (hold a passport or eligible to apply for a passport).

  • Main goal of the work will be building up laboratory capabilities and expertise at Rapa LP (Auburn/AL)

  • Basic knowledge about hydraulics, pneumatics and electronics
  • Some knowledge of the German language and customs advantageous
  • Software: Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel, VBA macro programming, testXpert (Zwick press), Lotus Notes

Industrial Engineer Automotive (m/f/d)


Your Task and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate technical adeptness in the area of manufacturing processes, and a willingness to learn the existing manufacturing processes and equipment, and the associated operation and maintenance
  • Coordinate with project team and process development engineers to ensure a timely and efficient handover of new product and process launches to series production
  • Establish relationships with European colleagues and exchange information about products, processes and customer requirements
  • Develop process improvement and analysis mechanisms to improve existing manufacturing processes
  • Work with equipment and materials manufacturers as necessary to ensure proper operation and improvement of the equipment and processes to meet stated production and quality goals
  • Assist in the production of assembly prototypes based on the manufacturing process and specs provided

  • Calculate and provide values for machine uptimes; labor, material, and scrap costs; and production rate information in order to establish benchmarks for continuous improvement activities and monitor production
  • Collect, analyze, and evaluate information and trends and have the ability to interpret the information into a beneficial summary, report, or metric
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations
  • Keeps equipment operational by developing and facilitating PM procedures in coordination with production management, maintenance, and repair services
  • Maintains and utilizes process data from the various assembly processes and be able to analyze said data when necessary
  • Develop and complete cycle time studies of existing manufacturing process and use this information to keep capacity and value stream information up to date
  • Manage and perform to completion of process related ECRs and deviations for existing equipment and processes
  • Willingness to learn and maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and attending training on the various manufacturing processes and procedures

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from accredited institution
  • One to Five (5) years of experience in the field of industrial, process and automation engineering. Intern and/or co-op experience a plus
  • Ability to hold a passport and travel within Germany without accompaniment
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • Some knowledge of the German language and customs are a plus
  • Microsoft Office, CAD, Minitab, or other production software experience
  • One to Five (5) years of experience in the field of industrial, process and automation engineering. Intern and/or co-op experience a plus

Lab Engineer R&D (m/f/d)


Your Task and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate technical adeptness in the area of manufacturing processes, and a willingness to learn about R & D, manufacturing equipment, and operation
  • Excellent problem solving skills and take accountability for process control system programming, and design for all computer controlled machinery and processes. Will work with multi-discipline teams, troubleshoot operational problems, develop process control strategies and provide training
  • Participate as a process control lead in project leadership meetings to set project goals, priorities and strategies
  • Lead the process control unit operation by developing the overall process control strategy for the project. Develop the overall communication strategy between process interfaces, logic controllers, drives and data collection system
  • Interact with equipment and vendors to facilitate process control integration. Communicate progress and plans to other team leads. Work with other team leads to negotiate conflicts
  • Lead the development of all process and machine control design including control network architecture; wiring diagrams, control schemes, plc and control interface equipment
  • Lead the checkout effort. Develop a checkout plan including resources. Communicate the plan to all involved such as contractors, plant electricians, engineers, designers, plant technicians
  • Manage capital projects that focus on process control integration or upgrades
  • Responsible for cost estimations for hardware, software, and all test benches
  • Planning and selection of safety components
  • Creation of measurement reports for switchgear and equipment according to DIN standards, including MSA’s for all test benches
  • Responsible for defining test components, measurement technology, and test plans
  • Commissioning of test benches and production lines as required
  • Supervision of special machine builders and external service providers
  • Own individual work and personal performance
  • Other duties as assigned

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from accredited institution
  • At least 4 years of experience in the field of production processes, automotive industry or product testing
  • Programming experience in one high-level programming language (C++/Java/Visual Basic/Ruby/Python). Strong working knowledge of Beckhoff TwinCat 2 PLC and Drive technology knowledge (Beckhoff Dives ideal). LabView knowledge. Good Vision Systems experience (COGNEX Vision Systems) and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to hold a passport and travel within Germany without accompaniment
  • Ability to manage and motivate the process control team, resolving issues, scheduling and coordinating work among the team
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • Expected to proactively solve potential problems before they occur throughout the course of the project including design, specification, construction, checkout and start up
  • Some knowledge of the German language and customs
  • Hold or ability to obtain a valid passport and travel internationally
  • Needs to be highly motivated self-starter that is capable of being assigned a project and expected to produce results with little or no supervision
  • Ability and willingness to make presentations to small and large groups of salary and or hourly associates
