After the trade fair is before the trade fair – trade fair review Compamed
Top know-how for top technologies
From November 14 to 17, COMPAMED Düsseldorf took place parallel to the world’s largest medical trade fair, MEDICA. The organizers of Medica and Compamed draw a consistently positive conclusion. The trade fair was a complete success and underpinned its strong result from the previous year with a strong increase in bookings on the part of the exhibiting companies (5,000 participations), more than 81,000 visitors were on site. The share of international trade visitors was three quarters, with priority given to European countries, but also to trade visitors from South Korea, USA, India and North African countries.
RAPA’s medical technology division also participated in COMPAMED and was among the 700 companies that presented themselves in the supplier area in Halls 8a and 8b. The handling of liquids and gases is always a significant topic and the focus of the trade fair. In this regard, Günter Knubbe, Senior Key Account Manager, spoke at the Compamed Suppliers Forum by Devicemed on the topic of.
“Automotive thinking of suppliers in medical technology” with a presentation. He pointed out what a convertible top and a dialysis machine have in common: Valve technology from RAPA.
RAPA is primarily known for its hydraulic and pneumatic valve product lines, which it supplies to a wide variety of industries. Thus, well-known manufacturers and large supplier companies already rely on RAPA as a reliable partner with technical expertise and innovative thinking in order to meet their product and quality requirements.
We are still blown away by the great fair. During the four days of the fair we were able to have valuable and informative conversations with interested parties, existing customers and cooperation partners and intensified our networking.
Together with our cooperation partner Fraunhofer EMFT, we presented the new “Self-Sensing Micropump” – a pump that monitors its own state without additional external sensors and detects anomalies during operation. So-called “self-sensing” enables the status of the dosing system to be monitored in real time and opens up additional potential savings in terms of installation space and manufacturing costs, which are particularly important for disposable products and small, portable dosing systems. It was therefore no surprise that customers and interested parties showed increased interest.
As soon as it was 6 p.m. on Thursday, loud music started in the halls and the dismantling started. We carefully packed up all the products again and set off on our journey home. It is always amazing that the dismantling goes faster than the set-up on Sunday.
The RAPA Healthcare team would like to thank all visitors who came to our booth.
