Carmen Jordan now heads the US site of the medium-sized automotive company
Change at the top at RAPA USA in Auburn/Alabama
At the location of its US subsidiary, RAPA is also focusing on electromobility and autonomous driving in line with the global automotive trend. Since August 1, 2021, Carmen Jordan has been responsible for this process in Auburn/Alabama – as the new Managing Director for the RAPA subsidiary there. The medium-sized engineering and technology partner and system supplier RAPA has been represented in the USA in Auburn/Alabama since 2013 and most recently generated a sales volume of around 40 million euros with 120 employees.
Carmen Jordan replaces Kelly Nelson, who built up the site and successfully managed it over the past eight years. Together with the holding board members and co-managing directors of RAPA Automotive, Karin Wolf and Dr. Roman Pausch, she will lead the U.S. plant through the transformation process toward New Mobility.
About Carmen Jordan, Wolf and Pausch say, “She combines technical expertise as an engineer, personal qualities as a leader with many years of professional experience, and also enjoys unqualified recognition among the employees in Selb and Auburn.”
Alongside Karin Wolf, Jordan is now the second woman to hold a management position at RAPA. Carmen Jordan joined the company at the beginning of 2016. She headed the Quality as well as Supply Chain Management departments and played a leading role in the further development of quality management. The successful IATF 16949 certification of the American site was to her credit. Carmen Jordan grew up in Auburn and successfully completed her studies at Cornell University (chemical engineering/Bachelor of Science). Before moving to the automotive industry, she worked for several years in the steel industry.
