RAPA Healthcare is exhibitor at MedtecLIVE

Customized systems and components – for specific fluid power applications.

MedtecLIVE will be held at the Stuttgart Trade Fair Center from May 3 to 5, 2022. The event focuses on production technology and components for medical technology and has become the leading spring trade fair for the industry. RAPA Healthcare is an exhibitor and partner at the VDMA joint stand (Hall 10, Stand 124a).

RAPA technology team: experts and specialists from various fields and disciplines

“After the pandemic phase, we are pleased to once again be able to present RAPA Healthcare and our high-quality, customer-specific fluid technology products and services in a live format,” says Managing Director Reinhard Schlechte. At MedtecLIVE, the company wants to show the industry what a partnership in the development and production of valves and fluidic systems could look like.

Product development to series production from a single source
With customer-specific solutions, the medical technology division of the RAPA group of companies recommends itself to customers in healthcare, laboratory and analysis technology, and biotechnology. The engineers and technicians from Selb (Bavaria) accompany projects from the very first idea to series delivery. To this end, RAPA Healthcare uses combined know-how: design, conception, state-of-the-art simulation methods, process development, testing and test systems for inspection and validation, as well as logistics, all under one roof. The valve specialist is thus at the same time an expert in component assembly for high-tech products, pump technology, coil production, plastics and welding technology as well as electronics and software development and much more.

No compromises! – in quality and safety
RAPA Healthcare manufactures and assembles mechatronic assemblies, mechanical and hydraulic components, electromotive or pneumatic single valves with intelligent control or diaphragm valves. “In medical and laboratory technology, the requirements for control accuracy and speed, durability and resistance to corrosive media are rightly very high. With our products, we can guarantee this,” says Reinhard Schlechte. He points out that RAPA Healthcare has international industry accreditations and certifications, including the ISO 13485 standard. The valves from the medium-sized company are used, for example, in dialysis machines, in the dosing of liquids, in lifting columns (e.g. for operating tables) and in systems with high hygiene requirements in the area of sterilization and water treatment.

Individuality at affordable prices
RAPA Healthcare supplies individual valve solutions for the respective application at attractive prices. This is possible because, as an OEM and system supplier, the company has become a high-performance full-service provider over the years. Thus, the team uses well thought-out modular systems and platform technologies. Reinhard Schlechte: “In this way, tasks in a wide variety of industries and applications can be solved with the same basic physical principle.” In addition, the resource utilization of the entire group of companies and the decades of application experience for measuring, controlling and regulating gases and liquids of the engineering team. The advantage for customers in the medical and biotechnology sectors is obvious: manufacturing costs are reduced and time-to-market is faster.

RAPA Healthcare

RAPA Healthcare is a 100% subsidiary of the RAPA group of companies from Selb (Bavaria), which also has subsidiaries in the USA and China. The medical technology division develops and produces customer-specific components or complete assemblies such as valves and fluidic systems for medical and analytical equipment. The products are used primarily in the handling of gases and liquids in medical and laboratory technology as well as biotechnology. RAPA Healthcare operates internationally and has been managed by Reinhard Schlechte since 2019. All necessary accreditations and certifications for the medical market are in place – including the important EU-harmonized standard ISO 13485. For more than 20 years, RAPA has been a supplier of media-separated valves used in dialysis machines from market leader Fresenius Medial Care.

RAPA Healthcare benefits from the development know-how, testing and automated production and assembly within the medium-sized group of companies. The other two divisions serve top customers from the international automotive industry and the manufacturing industry. With a production area of more than 11,000 m2 and 2,500 m2 of laboratory and validation space, the company produces in seven production halls. In 2020, RAPA celebrated its 100th anniversary.
