Review – Aachen Colloquium Sustanaible Mobility 2022

If you want to have a voice in the automotive world, you have to be there – Review of the “31st Aachen Colloquium Sustanaible Mobility 2022”.

The Aachen Colloquium is something like the World Economic Summit in Davos – only for developers and producers of engine and vehicle technology. Over decades, the three-day congress has developed into the most important European meeting place for experts in the industry. Only here are the latest research results presented in advance, and there is the opportunity to discuss solutions for sustainable mobility of the future together.

At the 31st edition in mid-October 2022, we from RAPA were not only on site in Aachen as participants, but also for the first time with a booth in the exhibition area. Our company was represented by Rocco Kemnitz, Department Manager Predevelopment; Tim Rubitzko, Product Group Spokesperson Motor Pump Unit; Dr. Michael Werner, Manager Simulation, as well as Creative Director Petra Balling and Elisabeth Meyer, Product Marketing Coordinator. Due to scheduling reasons, CEO Dr. Roman Pausch and Oliver Henkelmann (RAPA Automotive Vice President Sales Global) had to cancel their participation in Aachen.

Valves to touch, RAPA Democar by the door

The decision to participate with a RAPA booth at the congress was absolutely right. We were very well received and had many conversations with the audience. The focus of our presentation was on chassis product solutions such as valves for spring and damping systems and our motor pump unit. Our automotive competence was also represented by the RAPA Democar “Mercedes GLE” in the outside area of the Eurogress Aachen. What Rocco Kemnitz noticed: “Our new presentation counter with diverse valves on the conveyor belt was constantly besieged. Many RAPA solutions at a glance.”

After three days and an absolutely impressive festive evening in the Coronation Hall of Aachen City Hall, we headed back home towards Selb. The Aachen Colloquium remains THE innovation and networking event of the industry. Well over 1000 participants from 28 nations, groundbreaking lectures by prominent researchers and developers, around 100 individual events and the international orientation speak for themselves. Good that RAPA Automotive was there.
