We’re looking for Software Engineers to join our fast paced manufacturing environment. Manufacturing Automation is one of the most exciting and innovative areas to work in at RAPA and an ideal candidate is technically curious and excited about making an impact. This position is located at our site in Auburn, Alabama.

Software Engineer (m/f/o)

The Software Engineer supports our process development for new assembly lines and is responsible for the execution of company framework. The initial responsibility will be to learn, further develop and implement a RAPA created framework that will be used for the machine control of future assembly lines and the machines.

Ideal Experience

  • Experience in Object Oriented Programming
  • Experience with JAVA, Python, C++, or similar>
  • Experience with machine control and manufacturing would be a plus
  • Desire to work in the manufacturing field
  • Knowledge of Beckhoff or similar programs
  • Travel required to Selb, Germany location for training and implementation into machines that are being built for the USA facility.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or related degree and experience
